Erin’s journey began in 1997 when she started her apprenticeship at Salon Entrenous, where she honed her skills for nine years. After working at two other salons, she realized her dream of opening her own establishment in 2018. From the start, Erin demonstrated a passion for competition, beginning in cosmetology school and quickly establishing herself as a formidable force in the industry. Her achievements include winning three Mirror Awards, four Contessa Awards, and the SMHBA International Colourist of the Year. She has also been a finalist for the Beauty In Motion Awards, IBI Awards, and the Americas Live Fashion Hair Awards for Creative Colourist of the Year.

She regularly invests in her own education, taking creative classes such as an art class with Aili Puss, and is committed to training the next generation of stylists. As a teaching salon, Bon Bon Salon is dedicated to nurturing talented assistants, ensuring they leave as confident and well-trained professionals.

Competing in the North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA) has been a significant part of Erin’s career since 2006. Her involvement in these competitions has not only brought her recognition but also allowed her to grow as an artist. NAHA has provided Erin with a platform to share her work, collaborate with other professionals, and gain the confidence to reach new heights.

Erin’s creative process is both intense and meticulous. She dedicates two full weeks each year to immerse herself in the artistic process, working closely with her photographer, Natasha Gerschon, to bring her vision to life. Together, they meticulously plan every detail, from selecting models and makeup artists to curating the wardrobe. This collaboration, fueled by inspiration and innovation, has been key to Erin’s success in creating award-winning work.
